This is a video of me (Steven) cutting off a u-lock.
This is my first time using an angle grinder, and my first time cutting off a bike lock. I made the first cut in 32 seconds, and the second cut in 22 seconds. I suspect with more practice I could “cut” the time in half.
The bike and bike lock belong to my roommate. The lock is a Kryponite Evolution Series 4. Two cuts are necessary because you can’t pull apart the two lock “legs” (well, maybe someone else can).

Want cyclists to have lights at night?
So do I. Help by donating cash to buy lights for those without. We’ll go out, flag down some cyclists without lights, tell them about the laws and benefits of using them, and give them a free light (batteries included).

Copenhagen intersection treatment 2 on Flickr.
This intersection of Amager Boulevard and Klaksvigsgade in Copenhagen, Denmark, has the following features:
1. A bike through lane
2. A bike right-turn lane
3. An automobile right-turn lane
4. Signals for automobile drivers, and signals for bicyclists
Why? Separating the different vehicles and especially their movements creates a safer transportation systsem.
